Generous Donations - Heartfelt Gratitude

Our sincere thanks and gratitude are extended to the following program donors – their support allows us to continue building leadership through horsemanship in our area youth:

A very special thank you to Enchanted Florist of South Lake Tahoe, CA for donation a portion of 2021 Mother's Day floral arrangements to BHH. Your generous donation is very much appreciated.

A big heartfelt THANK YOU to The Sierra Nevada Chapter of Arma, CalNeva Realty, Iron Mountain Shredding and especially all of the Donors for making the e-shredding event May 1, 2021 benefiting Between Horses and Humans such a huge success.

Michelle Beans, the sister of program President Barbara Slade, conducted a Facebook birthday fundraiser in July 2018 and donated approx. $250 to BHH in lieu of birthday gifts - what a generous and loving move!

Pam and John Poco hosted a garage sale on June 30, 2018 and donated all proceeds to BHH.  They raised $530!

The Rotary Club of Minden, Nevada generously donated $3000 on May 17, 2017.  These funds will be used to further the mission and vision of Between Horses and Humans.  Pictured are Barbara Slade, Natasha Budnik, Rascal, and Pam Pugliese.  A huge thank you to the Minden Rotary Club for their amazing support!

Whole Foods Market has generously donated $100 gift card, and tells us, “Thank you again for reaching out to Whole Foods Market! We are thrilled to support your organization. Thank you for all that you do to support the Northern Nevada community.”  We are extremely grateful for their support.

We received an incredibly generous $10,000 from Douglas County, Nevada as a grant.  These funds will be put to use right away giving back to the youth of our community.  Thank you Douglas County!

We received a generous $4,500 from The Tahoe Women’s Community Foundation as a grant.  This grant is richly appreciated and will be used for the furtherance of our programs.  Thank you Tahoe Women’s Community Foundation!

We received a wonderful $1,000 from the El Dorado Community Foundation as a grant.  These funds will directly support the continuation of our programs.  Our sincere thanks!

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Required Modification

As part of the Special Use Permit BHH is required to ensure the facilities at Maddi’s Friesian Ranch are ADA compliant.  While the program serves only able-bodied children, the regulations require proper compliance.  BHH would like to extend our deep appreciation to all the people who are rallying, contributing, and organizing for BHH to receive the necessary concrete and labor to pour a parking pad and create a ramp to access the arena.  It is incredibly moving to see a community coming together to solve a problem in a way that doesn’t detract from the program, and doesn’t take essential funds away from changing lives and healing hearts.  Thank you!

Special Use Permit

BHH would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the following donors for their incredibly generous donations to help fund the special use permit:

  • Kiwanis – $500

  • Ruth Page and Greg Walsh – $600

  • Susan and Larry Lippman – $250

No donation is too small.
